Wait on the Lord
There are many verses in the Bible that tell us to have patience and wait on the Lord.
Waiting on the Lord is the patient expectation that God will fulfill his promises in his Word and strengthen us to rise above life’s difficulties. It means to completely trust in God.
(Psa 62:5 NIV) Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.
(Psa 130:5-7 NIV) I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. {6} My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. {7} O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
Do not give up hope
God wants us to persevere in our difficulties and not give up.
(2 Cor 4:8-9 NIV) We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; {9} persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
(2 Cor 4:16 NIV) Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
When we wait on the Lord, He will renew our strength
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Is. 40:31
When we wait on the Lord, we have renewed strength. When a person loses hope, he also loses strength and the will to go on.
“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” – Lam.3:25-26
“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Rom 8:24
Eccl.3:11, God has made everything beautiful in “HIS TIME.”
